Project Description
African Collaborative for Health Financing Solutions (ACS) is a five-year (2017-2022) project funded by USAID. The goal of the project is to work with sub-regional organizations and multi-stakeholder actors at the country level to share knowledge, strengthen accountability, and promote health financing policies and processes that push forward universal health coverage (UHC) in sub-Saharan Africa. The ACS project provides support to national and regional stakeholders so that they can better progress on their own path towards UHC. ACS aims to avoid redundancies and work out synergies with existing initiatives on UHC and health financing. ACS works with partners at the national and regional level to scale up existing efforts and meet the demand for capacity building in facilitation, learning processes, communication and accountability.
RESADE is a partner in the ACS project. RESADE supported the initial work of ACS in Burkina Faso by ensuring budget advocacy and civil society mobilization. RESADE has also participated in the implementation of ACS activities since the beginning of the project. RESADE contributes to fulfilling ACS’ mandate in Burkina Faso and West Africa.
