Despite delays and shortcomings in deployment and in the overall project implementation strategy, IRS, community awareness-raising, distribution of insecticide-treated nets, sanitation activities, use of rapid diagnostic tests followed by early treatment of positive cases have led to a significant reduction in malaria incidence. The 19.8% monthly drop observed at the outset has been consolidated over time. After just nine months, the impact is striking: a significant drop of 65.59% confirms that the project is on the right track to eliminating malaria in the Dangouna CSPS health area.
