SPARC is a project that aims to generate evidence and strengthen strategic health procurement in sub-Saharan Africa for better use of resources for health. SPARC and its technical partners have created a framework for monitoring progress in strategic health procurement and applying it in sub-Saharan African countries to facilitate dialogue on progress factors and promote regional learning. Recherche pour la Santé et le Développement (RESADE) is SPARC’s partner in Burkina Faso. In this capacity, RESADE has mapped strategic purchasing mechanisms in the health sector in Burkina Faso and established a body of evidence on strategic purchasing in the health sector in Burkina Faso.
