Analysis of the results of community monitoring programs: the case of the OCASS initiative

The study report analyzes the results of community-based monitoring (CLM) programs, in particular the OCASS initiative, in the fight against HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis in Burkina Faso, Guinea and Niger. The study highlights the contribution of CLMs to improving health services between 2014 and 2024, focusing on the availability, accessibility, acceptability and quality of services. Despite challenges such as lack of resources and coordination issues, CLMs have overall had a positive impact by strengthening the accountability of the healthcare system and promoting better patient care. The report highlights the importance of community involvement and makes recommendations for optimizing the effectiveness of CLMs.
